All data processing in the sphere of Gebr. JEHMLICH GmbH is performed in compliance with legal provisions. Art 1 Collection and storage of personal data

Personal data are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person, such as your name, your address, your telephone number, your date of birth, your bank details and your IP address. Gebr. JEHMLICH GmbH is the responsible entity for the collection and storage of your data.

When using our websites, the following data is stored, whereby the storage is done for internal system-related and statistical purposes only: name of the peviously visited page, names of the pages accessed, the browser used and its version, the operating system, the type of device and the requesting domain, date and time of access, search engines used, names of downloaded files and your IP address.

Further personal information is collected only if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example as part of an inquiry or registration. Fore processing your orders and product requests, all required data will be requested: Your full name or your full company name together with the person authorized to represent the company, your e-mail address, your address (billing address and, if applicable, different delivery address) and, if applicable, your telephone number (e.g. if the short-term coordination of a delivery date is required). We store the data provided by you for the establishment of a customer or prospect account, via which we record, execute and process your orders. We keep your data for further orders (registration) as long as you maintain the registration. You have the right to access, correct and delete your registration data at any time. We will delete your account if the deletion is required by law.

Handling of job applicant data

The job applicant data will only be stored by us for the application process and will then be deleted after six months at the latest after the position has been filled. Upon the applicant’s explicit approval, we may store the recorded data for future filling of positions.

Art 2 Use, disclosure and deletion of personal data

We use the personal data you provide to answer your inquiries, to process your order, to check the creditworthiness and for the purpose of technical administration of the websites.

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if the passing on is necessary for the purpose of the contract or for billing purposes or for collecting the fee or if you have expressly consented. It may also be necessary for us to pass on your address and order data to suppliers when the delivery is delivered directly ex works. Our suppliers only receive the information necessary to fulfil their respective tasks. Any other use of the information is not permitted. We are also entitled to pass on personal data for debt collection purposes. Art 3 Safety information

We have taken a range of security measures to adequately protect personal information.

Our databases are protected by physical, technical and procedural measures that restrict access to the information to specially authorized persons in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Our information system is located behind a software firewall to prevent access from other networks connected to the Internet. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific task will have access to personal information. Our employees are trained and instructed in security and privacy practices.

When personal information is collected via our Internet pages, transmission is encrypted using the industry standard Transport Layer Security ("TLS") technology.

Art 4 Cookies, web analysis tools and social plug-ins

"Cookies" are small files that allow us to store specific information about you on your PC when you visit our website. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website and also allow us to make our offers as safe, convenient and as efficient as possible for you.

Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and will be shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on the website activity and to provide us with other services relating to the website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. We use CleverReach for our online marketing activities. With this software solution we cover, among other things, these aspects of our online marketing:

  • Landing Pages and Contact Forms

  • Social Media Publishing & Reporting

  • Reporting (e.g. traffic sources, accesses, etc.)

Our contact forms allow visitors of our website to learn more about our company, download content, receive free exhibition tickets and provide us with their contact information and other demographic information.

This information is stored on servers of our software partner CleverReach GmbH & Co KG. This information can be used by us to contact visitors of our website and to determine which services of our company are of interest for them. The statistical usage data of our online marketing offers serves to optimize the website functions and to provide our website visitors with content that is tailored to your interests.

All information we collect is subject to this privacy policy. We use the information collected exclusively to optimize our services.

Art 7 Right of appeal

Any data subject has the right of appeal to a supervisory authority if he or she considers that the processing of data concerning him or her contradicts data protection legislation. The right of appeal may be exercised in particular before a supervisory authority in the Member State of residence of the person concerned or the place where the alleged infringement occurred.

Art 8 Rights of the data subject

Data subjects have the right to obtain information from the data controller about personal data concerning them and to have inaccurate data corrected or deleted if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 DSGVO applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued. Furthermore, there is a right to limitation of processing if one of the conditions specified in Art. 18 DSGVO applies and in the cases of Art. 20 DSGVO the right to data portability. If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e (data processing for the fulfilment of official tasks or for the protection of the public interest) or lit. f (data processing for the protection of legitimate interests), the data subject is entitled to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from his particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling reasons worthy of protection for the processing which outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
